One practical problem with the strict enforcement of arbitration agreements under consumer protection statutes like CROA is the fact that it tends to blunt the development of controlling precedent. This, in turn, leaves arbitrators with unfettered leeway to accept almost any ridiculous interpretation of the statute that coincides with their particular prejudices.
